Faith, passion, conflict, the beauty of ballet and the intrigue of Habana Vieja come together in this series of large-scale art images of a solo ballerina engaged in a dance about a crisis of faith.
The Fire and the Cross series is presented on five-foot canvasses suspended from the ceiling, with additional framed images of ballet in Cuba by photographer Jeffrey Morris. To provide a multi-sensory experience of the themes and flavors portrayed in The Fire and the Cross, the night will be enhanced by talented ballerinas, musicians and other performers.
