Christylez (pronounced “Chris styles) Bacon opened the main stage at Art All Night DC Shaw 2022 with a set that was as brilliant as it was unique. Joined by harpist Abbie Palmer, Christylez brought together genres that one would not think possible to unite. For example, the duo combined beatbox with an irish jig, and reinterpreted Pachelbel’s Canon in D with go-go beat. Throw in some free-style by Christylez and an original harp/vocal piece by Abbie and you have a set like no other. Brilliance? Madness? I think both.
